This month, BRUNA sits down with Vicky Heiler, content creator and founder of the fashion label Viktoria Louise. Learn about her collaboration with BRUNA, what inspires her, and her current jewelry must-haves.
Our partnership started in the summer of 2019 when I loaned a few pieces from my fashion brand for BRUNA's first-ever jewelry shoot. I was gifted the Monterosso Necklace —one of the first pieces BRUNA ever made—as a thank you, so I guess you could consider me a fan of the brand since even before day one! There have been many wonderful highlights of our collaboration since then but I think being a big part of the BRUNA Pop-Up event last summer was definitely a beautiful full-circle moment from that first email in 2019.
I feel most inspired by everyday life. I love good food, beautiful destinations, wearable fashion, and life with a toddler. The things that surround me are what inspire my content—I've always been an advocate of romanticizing your own life and finding joy in even the smallest moments, such as a few minutes of sunshine in the morning, a homemade meal, or fresh flowers for the dining room table.
To me, collaborations and work on social media always have to be and feel authentic—for yourself and for your audience! I started blogging in 2010 (before Instagram was even around) and have always listened to my gut when it comes to who I work with. I value partnerships that allow creative freedom, have a certain amount of trust, and are aligned with my personal style.
I like the idea of having a few staples in your closet that you know will always work, no matter the occasion—like a white button-down shirt or a simple tank. And from the feedback I received from my community, they felt the same. It was usually simple pieces I was receiving the most “where do you get…” questions about. Since I was constantly searching for those exact items, I decided why not make them myself? Every piece in our collection is a piece I love and wear all the time! The brand’s mission is to epitomize a versatile and luxurious wardrobe that can follow you wherever, forever.
Simple, timeless, wearable, and built on staples. But of course, also with a certain affinity to trends and eye-catching pieces.
By far, the BRUNA jewelry I wear the most is the Corsica Hoops in silver. Ever since the collection launched early last summer, I've basically worn them daily! And right now I'm obsessed with the Drop Earrings and the Fasano Halskette in silver. Also the Anjou Anklet—it hasn’t left my right ankle all summer.
