Today, a linear model of production and consumption—one in which we take materials from the planet, develop products, and dispose of them in landfills or incinerators—is no longer viable.
That’s why we’ve challenged ourselves to create a fully circular business model based on the circular economy principles of eliminating waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems.
Starting from the design phase, we carefully select materials that are gentle on the environment, with a preference for recycled materials. The timeless pieces that we create are designed to accompany you for many years and to be handed on as precious heirlooms.
Your jewelry is designed to last with proper jewelry care, but we also know that the time may come when a piece needs to be repaired or restored. We offer a warranty for every piece and are working on a repair and restoration service for re-plating and refurbishing that we hope to offer you soon.

The jewelry industry relies heavily on raw materials, including precious metals and gemstones, that are sourced from communities in developing and emerging economies. Artisanal or small-scale gold mining, for instance, plays a significant role in the global gold supply chain and provides millions of individuals with a vital source of income.
However, due to the lack of access to formal financing and fair prices, these miners often struggle to break free from the poverty cycle, which makes supporting their communities all the more critical. At BRUNA, we support artisanal gold mining communities through our partnership with The Impact Facility, a social enterprise committed to transforming mineral wealth into community prosperity. We have also integrated our commitment to supporting artisanal gold mining communities into our sourcing strategy for “ethical precious metals.” Our definition of ethical precious metals encompasses three key sources for silver and gold. As we’ve done in the past, we’ll continue to source recycled precious metals from verified, reputable providers. Additionally, we're opening our doors to responsibly sourced, artisanally-mined gold, with potential future partnerships with organizations like The Impact Facility (TIF), Fairtrade, or Fairmined. In case any gold we source does not fall into the first two categories, we’ll invest in the purchase of an equivalent amount of Responsible Mineral Credits, a “book and claim”-based credit system developed by TIF and its partners Solidaridad and Fairphone that will allow us to incentivize on-the-ground improvements at artisanal mine sites and contribute to increasing the supply of responsibly produced artisanal gold.
We've learned that by engaging with artisanal miners and supporting initiatives like TIF, we can play a vital role in improving working conditions, protecting the environment, and promoting fair trade. By investing in the well-being of those who contribute to or are impacted by the industry, we can ensure that the jewelry sector becomes a source of dignified work for all.
